Just came back from Leadership Camp in INTI College, Nilai.was really fun! x)
First day ,we left from school around 3 on Friday and arrived at the college around 4 something.
checked in to the place, carried the bed sheets and pillows and blankets all the way to our hostel rooms.
i got the room in block A, which the facilitators said was lucky, cuz there was air-con there :)
when we first when into the sports hall
then just hung out in the rooms before going for dinner at 6pm.
the cafeteria where we have all our meals (: ( huey shin, xiaoqi, me )
The activities first started in the sports hall at around 7, where we were divided into groups of 10, and ice-breaking sessions started.
Seriously, the games they organized were real dangerous sometimes :p
Like the shoe game where we all took out one shoe each and put into the middle of our huge circle and at a command, we all had to rush into the middle, grab our shoe, wear it and get back to our groups to be the first.
Imagine 70+ people all rushing into the mountain of shoes that was at the middle of the circle.
Yup, total chaos, yelling, trampling over one another in the midst of sweaty and smelly shoes. people got hit, beaten, knocked in the face by flying shoesand even fainted.
And yeah, it totally stinks.
We’re supposed to have learnt something from this camp, so err.. yeah, during the hula-hoop game, I learnt that in a team, EVERY SINGLE PERSON plays an important role, if one guy messes up, everybody pays for it.
Basically, played a lot of team-building games.
Second day, morning exercise was supposed to be at 7am, and shuyi had asked me to lead the warm-ups.
i seriously didn’t want to do it.
And lucky me!it rained that morning, so the entire thing was cancelled.
So Xiaoqi went back to sleep and planned to wake up at 8am for breakfast.
And I said I didn’t want to sleep cuz once I sleep,I’ll have trouble waking up.
But in the end I decided to sleep cuz there wasn’t anything else to do.

And guess what?
Xiaoqi and I both overslept.
Actually, not really, breakfast is stated at 8am-9am.
But when we went down at 8.30, the cafeteria was empty except for shuyi and celeste and ms yong.
Turns out, the rest were already done and were continuing their activities.
So we rushed through breakfast and joined in the others who were taking the tour of INTI.
(duh, they had to promote INTI cuz they were sponsoring every single thing of the camp)
their library
Went back to the sports hall after that to continue games and stuff organized by the facilitators.
And so the fun (and injuries) continued.
Evening we had a group presentation thing.
And after dinner, had a sharing session by the facilitators’s about their college life in INTI (another promoting thing :p)
but I wasn’t really listening cuz the 3 noisiest guys in the camp (terence, jim hwang and fuang zoung, obviously…haha) were talking and kacau-ing and bullying me the whole time x)
terence
left: jim hwang (and what they call his retarded face..hahah)
top: fuang zoung
And yeah, I know that in my last post I said that i’m supposed to bully them.
At night was CHS’s own session.
The first game was some charades sort of thing which I really don’t get,so we kept staying at the back of the line so our turn never came. x)
Second one was a chair-game, a bit like musical chairs.that one was really gila..hahah.
After that, we had a sharing session thing were the counselor just made us calm down out thoughts and the hall was darken and each group was only lighted by one candle.
and we shared in our groups about we learnt from camp and everything.
at first we thought it was real weird cuz she was like ‘don’t laugh and don’t make noise’ but after a while, I think it was really useful, just calming down and reviewing everything that has happen.it really was a break from the hectic-ness.
Stayed up until really late that day, just talking and playing the whole night through.
The last day,
(even though 4 ppl slept in my room instead of 2,and that means 4 alarm clocks)
we overslept.
again.
Rushed to check out.and missed breakfast.
So we went straight for the closing ceremony.
group picture (:
we left the place around 9am.
All in all,the camp was really great :)
