2008.a walk to remember.


i just came back from youth camp!which was really great!
we went to STM and practically had the entire college to ourselves since they were all on holz. x)
i think the hostel ppl are very annoyed at us cuz we screamed and talked extremly loud at night.
games was torturing.
worship was awesome.
the food was okay.
the midnght snacks we brought were yummy!
and we played the guardian angel thing.
and ended up contenging everybody's envelopes.haha

today's the last day of 2008!!! ahhhh...so fast!!will be going to church for the countdown.and when i reach home, it'll be 2009.wow.

As everyone in solid youth should know by now, i have an awful sore throat and am losing my voice.


so i asked my dad for cough and sore throat medication and he told me :

take strepsils and don't talk so much



haha.but obviously how can u expect me not to talk so much when today is solid youth's christmas party??hehe. and for games..hahahahah!!



so basically i learnt today :

1. don't EVER let marck touch any patrick star toys

2. don't let wenhuey be narrator for mafia game. (she gets ready to switch off all the lights and ask us to close our eyes BEFORE we even know what characters we're playing in the game)

3. you can't laugh with a sore throat.it hurts.ouch.



and we had the gift exchange thing as well this year.and my gift went to eeyan and my gift is from suyin/sups which she says is only the PART I.


okay sups, i'll be waiting for the PART II on christmas day!haha x)

this saturday going for a christmas dinner = good food!haha.yay!

and pastor just asked me to play hymns on that day.

sigh.everyone knows how much i suffer when playing hymns.

Finally,my mind and body is refreshed after spending the entire week in church for VBS! Well,it was fun while it lasted…x)


I miss the kids!!!

In the whole VBS,I was known among the kids as the chocolate girl, the kung-fu girl,etc..thanks to the skits.

And yeah,I even got ambushed by a couple of kids on Saturday morning and was kicked (ouch!) coz they said that was my punishment for trying to kick Michelle in the skit..it hurt!haha

Darren Jordan

Jordan LAM: my bestest pal in VBS.i miss Jordan! also known as Michael Jordan, Jordan River. i think he looks like Mowgli.and i'm always threatening to cut his hair botak! hehe. he absolutely loves stepping on my feet. and his brother's are fun too!-evan & ryan

Darren: the cutest cutest kid in class.has the most adorable eyes x) i spent time with him during colouring pictures activities coz that's when we get all retarded and colour the humans face pink and their hands green and purple,etc...hahahah!!

Also, they were playing this game where they had to eat peanuts with their eyes blindfolded.hahaha.and i'll eat their peanuts or move the plate far away so that they can't find them. x)

all the hard work was definitely worth it. :)

Vacation Bible School (VBS) Day1:

Wanna imagine what it feels like to be in VBS? Think 100+ kids in a bungalow sized church.which means: noise, noise and more noise. x)

But it was fun actually. I was put to help in the 5-6 year’s old group,which is the youngest group in the entire program.Hyperactive would be the best word to describe them. But,… they are so so so so adorable! :) AND I CAN REMEMBER ALL THEIR NAMES! :
James (smallest kid in the whole VBS. XD), Castle (unique name right?), Gabriel, Marcus (who is always either drinking water or requesting to go to the toilet), Ru Wei, Joycelyn, Alicia, Darren, Christopher (hyper kid), Addison, Jordan (michelle’s newest best pal :p), Weng Sum and Zi Xuan.

For one of the tasks, SuYin asked the kids to paint our (the helpers) hands black, and we’ll stamp our hand print on their paper. Simple right? but believe me, when you’re with kids, even the most smallest task can turn into something.

so when I’m assign to take care of Christopher, James and Addison,…gosh. They painted my hand up to my wrists all black, my watch was smudge with paint and James even swipe the paint brush across my face.with black paint.


We even played hit the piñata.and as expected, kids squealing and running all over the room looking for sweets.

There were even some kids from the Precious Home. All the aunties thought that they were the most well-behaved kids there. But I’m glad we could make them happier by inviting them for the program. x)

And Michelle and I acted in the skits. already did 3 today,will do 2 more tomorrow. Turned out better than I expected coz the kids laughed at all the parts that weren’t even that funny.hahah

Oh yeah, the food was great too!we had Mexican food today!:)

Can’t wait for tomorrow!

There’s gonna be a party at Yoon Leen’s tmrw night.and since lots of people are asking whether I’m going,I’m going to say it for once:
I’m not going cuz her house is way too far from mine.and also most of my friends aren’t going. So Su Lynn and I have decided NOT to go.haha


And I just realized that we’re already in on the month of December.so fast!only 1 MORE MONTH before school starts in January.!!ahhh!!


Yesterday,I finally sat down to watch the latest James Bond at home.and seriously, I don’t understand the entire show.good thing I didn’t watch it on cinema.


Which reminds me, I’m going to watch Twilight!can’t wait. Although I think the main actor isn’t as perfect as how the book describes him.but, I shall not comment yet until I’ve seen the entire movie.

Family Day Out



So yesterday, my dad took my bro and me to Holiday Villa to spent some family together-ness time :)


On the way we passed by Shah Alam city, so after lunch, and since we were near it, we went into the museum.There were some stuff for sale and the guy was telling us all about
gramaphones and old typrewrites.
And I can’t believe 1 kain tenunan thing that’s like 1m2 costs RM10,000.00


Quite a scary place actually,the whole museum was really quiet.there was only about 2 other families there.


After that we got going to the club.spent the day, swimming, playing table tennis & bowling.


And as usual (as it is in every game of bowling I play) ,the ball never goes where I want it to go.i think the floor is tilted x)

And the longkang really loves my ball too.

But all in all,had quite a fun day.

Family Trip to Singapore

[19th nov-21st nov 2008]



Day 1


We left 1U at 10.00 and took the Aeroline bus there. The journey took around 51/2 hours.


As usual went through the immigration and customs thing and yeah, when I walked through the metal detector the alarm started to ring. Memalukan larr.. I just told the woman it was my belt then she body-checked me and all. And my dumb bro suggested that my braces caused the alarm to ring.cheh.


And then we reached S’pore around 3.30pm.And my uncle took us to Changi Beach Resort to check in. Really nice place!


Then I took a walk with my Dad at the Changi Point Boardwalk. It’s a really long boardwalk with many sections like Kelong Walk (where u can see ppl fishing), Sailing Walk (a LOT of sailing boats + u can see those really nice sailing club houses), etc…


Didn’t do much that day.Just met up with my cousin and uncle and aunty and my 2 nieces for dinner. x)




Day 2


We went to the Singapore Zoo with my uncle and 2 nieces.


And OF COURSE we had to go see the famous white tigers that killed the Malaysian zookeeper.
Which reminds me, what exactly happened to that m’sian guy?


Malaysian version: Malaysian zookeeper fell into the tiger’s area and got killed.

OR

Singapore version: He wanted to commit suicide, called his family members to the zoo and evertyhing and said bye to them.then he went into the tiger habitat.halfway he changed his mind suddenly and wanted to come out, but was too late and the tiger killed him.


Anywayyyy, went to see all the animals.warthogs,hippos,polar bears,etc…
And yup,my 7 year old niece is VERY amused by the baboons red butts. x)


And I even held a boa constrictor! Scary larr, can feel all the muscles moving when the snake moved.and the tail was curling around my hand.ahh!


But couldn’t see the whole zoo coz it’s really huge!And it rained halfway.


Then we went back to another hotel near Orchard Road to check in. Spent the whole evening with my family & nieces in the hotel.


At night,went to Novena 2 Square for dinner.




Day 3


Spent the whole day in Orchard Road shopping!! I bought sport shoes there. :)
And went for lunch in some club my uncle joins.
Then I went with my mom and dad to walk around Orchard Road. We even passed Emerald Hill Road to see all the old-fashioned buildings.really nice!


And for dinner, we went to another club my uncle joined. (which makes me wonder why s’poreans like to join so many many clubs)


At night, I went with my dad to walk around the place. Great weather + I love the way Singapore has walkways and zebra-crossings so that it’s so easy to walk all over the place. x)




Day 4


Basically we got ready to go home. Took a taxi to HarbourFront Centre.The taxi driver was real friendly :)
Hung around in the shopping mall. Then took the bus back to Malaysia. And all the bus they were showing Balls of Fury –super borriiinnnggg show, seems to me it’s all about ping-pong and fierce people. But they also showed a lot of episodes of Friends, so had quite a good laugh. x)


And no,no metal detector in the M’sian customs so yeah,no embarrassing incidents. :p



So, that’s ends my trip.
Haha,I love vacations!

Genting Trip [12th-14th nov 2008]

DAY 1:

playing cards on the bus on the way there

Just hung around the entire day.and yeah,we played that indoor roller coaster so many times we can already memorise where's all the turnings and fast parts.haha. x)

And then a couple of us went for a midnight movie-The Coffin

which was scary coz the 'ghosts' have seriously hideous faces.

Day 2:

In the morning we went to the Snow World thing.freezing cold and yucky.

then spent the entire day in the theme park!

and we went the space-shot thing first, which ppl said we were supposed to keep for the last.

but anywayz, i think the scariest ride there was the teapot ride. (yeah, i know it's for kids but it was raining and there was nothing else to do)but it was really really scary! made me dizzy!

then at night we went for dinner at some place coz there was a 30% discount!

(which reminds me just how expensive Genting food is)

we also watch that 4d show.lame right?haha (sorry for the wrong way picture.already uploaded it and lazy to turn it)

and at night, we just hung around the room.and got high on oreos. weil shern's theory was that someone put alcohol in the oreos.haha.x)

we made so much noise even the security guard came and told us to keep quiet.

Day 3:

Firstly went to the Ripleys place.quite interesting and funny actually.

then it was home sweet home!

and yeah, we played that guardian angel thing during the trip and my angel turned out to be prashanth.and i got icecream cake from Baskin's!and some skunk keychain!. x)

And the event finally started!

next week i'll be on my genting trip. and the week after that on my family trip.and i'll have 2 free weeks before it'll be VBS for the kids.and soon it'll be christmas.and youth camp.



which means back to school and form 5.



wow, time sure flies.



and not to mention my sis spends all her free time putting rabbit ears on my head.sheesh.

Baked Glazed Mocha Fudge Cake! (which was really really really really really sweet.can get diabetes already lar.and it's not my fault.i follow recipe only)

Played football with my dog. XD (who is really ganas and scratches and bites me just to defend that darn ball)
